Gambaran Career Calling pada Mahasiswa Kedokteran Universitas X

Career calling merupakan aspek penting dalam kesiapan karir mahasiswa kedokteran karena berkaitan dengan makna pribadi, orientasi sosial, dan komitmen terhadap profesi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan tingkat career calling pada mahasiswa kedokteran serta melihat kecenderungannya berdasarkan angkatan, jenis kelamin, dan minat melanjutkan profesi. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Sebanyak 176 mahasiswa berpartisipasi dengan mengisi kuesioner Career Calling Scale for Emerging Adults (CCSEA) secara online. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan kategorisasi hipotetik untuk melihat distribusi tingkat career calling serta ketiga dimensi utamanya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas mahasiswa memiliki tingkat career calling yang tinggi. Dimensi personal meaning dan other-oriented meaning memperoleh proporsi kategori tinggi terbesar, menggambarkan bahwa mahasiswa memandang profesi kedokteran sebagai hal yang bermakna secara pribadi dan berdampak positif bagi masyarakat. Sementara itu, dimensi active engagement menunjukkan skor yang lebih rendah dibandingkan dua dimensi lainnya, yang mengindikasikan bahwa tidak semua mahasiswa telah secara konsisten terlibat dalam tindakan nyata untuk mewujudkan panggilan kariernya. Selain itu, kecenderungan career calling tinggi tampak konsisten pada berbagai angkatan, jenis kelamin, dan kelompok yang berminat melanjutkan profesi. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini memberikan gambaran empiris mengenai kondisi career calling mahasiswa kedokteran serta menjadi dasar bagi pengembangan program pendampingan karier, konseling, dan penguatan identitas profesional di institusi pendidikan kedokteran.
