Peer Review Process

The peer review process for Arus International: Interdisciplinary Journal of Education, Humanities, Law, and Social Entrepreneurship (AI: IJ-EHLSE) is designed to ensure the publication of high-quality, original, and impactful scholarly work. The process involves the following stages:

  1. Initial Submission Screening
    • Upon submission, each manuscript is reviewed by the editorial team to ensure adherence to the journal’s focus, scope, and submission guidelines.
    • Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria or exhibit significant quality issues are rejected at this stage.
  2. Plagiarism Check
    • All submissions are subjected to a plagiarism detection process using advanced software.
    • Manuscripts with high levels of similarity or suspected ethical issues are returned to the authors or rejected outright.
  3. Assignment to Reviewers
    • Manuscripts passing the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field.
    • The journal employs a double-blind peer review process to ensure impartiality, where the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed.
  4. Reviewer Evaluation
    • Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, relevance, methodological rigor, clarity, and contribution to the field.
    • Reviewers provide constructive feedback and recommendations, which may include:
      • Acceptance with minor or no revisions.
      • Major revisions required.
      • Rejection.
  5. Author Revision
    • Authors receive feedback and are given a specified timeframe to address the reviewers' comments and resubmit their revised manuscript.
    • Revisions are re-evaluated by the original reviewers to ensure concerns are adequately addressed.
  6. Editorial Decision
    • Based on the reviewers’ feedback and the revised manuscript, the editor-in-chief makes the final decision on acceptance, further revision, or rejection.
    • Accepted manuscripts undergo language editing and formatting before publication.
  7. Publication
    • Accepted articles are published in the journal's scheduled issues (April, August, and December).
