This research is motivated by the low level of child attendance at Josiano Early Childhood Education (PAUD) in Debululik Village, Belu Regency. This study aims to determine the factors that cause children to not come to school at Josiano Early Childhood Education (PAUD) in Debululik Village, Belu Regency. This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach with five parents and one PAUD teacher as informants. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews and analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that there are three main factors that cause children not to come to school, namely family factors, school factors, and child factors. Family factors include low family economic conditions, low parental education levels, and lack of parental attention and guidance for children's learning activities. School factors include limited learning facilities and infrastructure and a lack of variety in learning activities that make children quickly feel bored. Child factors include low learning motivation, dependence on friends or siblings, and children's social and emotional conditions that are still developing so that they easily feel afraid, sad, or uncomfortable when experiencing problems with friends at school. It can be concluded that family factors are the most dominant factor in influencing children's absence from school. Therefore, cooperation between parents and schools is needed in providing support, motivation, and creating an interesting and comfortable learning environment.
